Many people experience emotional difficulties in their lives, it’s hardly ever a straight forward run – at times whether due to troubling experiences from the past, or difficult issues in the present, we can experience stress, anxiety, depression, or just a sense of unfulfillment. I have witnessed first-hand how the right therapeutic approach can make a real difference to people’s sense of wellbeing, bringing about positive change in all aspects of their lives.
Counselling is a process focused on helping people to overcome emotional difficulties or turbulence. This is achieved by making sense of any self-limiting behaviours; troublesome thoughts and feelings; compulsive tendencies; and difficult relationships. By resolving these issues, you are able to develop new perspectives; new ways of responding to the world and achieving a greater sense of wellbeing.
I am trained in a number of approaches. The approach used will be discussed during your initial consultation.
I offer a friendly, professional, ethical and reasonably priced service, operating in two safe and supportive environments.
There is more information on the different counselling approaches on the ‘Link’ page.
